Privacy policy

The short version
Your images never leave your device. EasyCutout removes backgrounds using an AI model that runs inside your web browser. We do not upload, receive, store or look at the images you edit or the results you download.
How your images are processed
When you add an image, your browser decodes it, runs the background-removal model locally (on your device’s processor or graphics chip), and creates the result locally. Editing (background color, crop, resize) and downloading also happen entirely in your browser.
History. So you can download or keep editing earlier images, the tool keeps your last 30 images in your browser’s storage (IndexedDB) on your device: the original photo, the background-removed result, a small preview and your edit settings. This history is never sent to us. You can delete single items or clear all of them from the “Your recent images” section, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads the AI model and supporting code (about 100 MB) from our website and keeps them in its storage so the next visit is faster. These files contain no personal data. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.
Information we do collect
Like almost every website, our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type and the pages or files requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. This data is handled according to Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not use this data to identify you.
We do not use accounts.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand how people use EasyCutout, such as which pages and features they use and where they get stuck, so we can improve the site. These tools set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, how long you stay, your approximate location (derived from your IP address), and your browser and device type. Clarity may record how you interact with pages; text you type is masked. Neither tool ever receives the images you edit or the results you download.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first, and these tools only load if you accept. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. Elsewhere, analytics load automatically.
This data is processed by Google and Microsoft according to Google’s privacy policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, or opt out of Google Analytics with the opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising (future)
To keep EasyCutout free, we may show advertising in the future, for example through Google AdSense. If we do, this policy will be updated before ads appear, and third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent first. Ads will never have access to the images you edit.
Children
EasyCutout is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
